Pan American Cyclocross Championships FAQs

Q: Do I need a UCI license to race, even if I’m racing masters?

A: Yes! All participants need a UCI license, which can be obtained through your national federation.

If you are a United States licensed racer and currently do not hold a license of any kind, the UCI license for an adult is $240. The UCI/International license is valid for both UCI-categorized races and any local/grassroots races.

If you currently hold a domestic USA Cycling license, you will pay an additional $130 for the UCI license add-on, which is eligible for purchase up to 30 days before your membership expires. Note: the UCI license supersedes your domestic license, which means the system will automatically expire your domestic license.

Q: Does my bike frame need to be UCI-approved?

A: For the 2025 Pan American Cyclocross Championships, your bike DOES NOT have to be UCI-approved or have a UCI frame sticker. Please note, this will change for the 2026 Pan American Cyclocross Championships.
